Miss Leah Kornucik began her dance career at 17 at Sam Houston State University in Hunstville, Texas. Thrown into a world she knew nothing about (having been a life long cheerleader), she flourished in the arts and ended up graduating Cum Laude with a BFA in dance performance and choreography in 2002. She has been able to study under and work with notable instructors/choreographers being a member of the Spectrum Dance Company. Leah was also a member of The Raven Dance Project, The Texas World Dance Company; had the opportunity to choreograph many shows for Six Flags Astroworld, and Northwest All-Star Gymnastics. Upon graduation, Leah moved to Denver where she danced with Kim Robards Dance Company under the artistic direction of Kim Robards. She has set choreography on COCA’s second company, The Slaughter Project, and was an artist in residence with The Montana Ballet Company in the summer of 2006. She was a member of Utopia Entertainment for two years, a resident choreographer, assistant artistic director, and dancer with the Slaughter Project for five; and spent two seasons dancing with Nu-World Contemporary Danse Theatre. Leah’s teaching focuses on technical precision and performance quality. When she is not working away at the studio, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband, son, and daughter.
